14. 10. 2004: Oktoberfest
Mid-October is Oktoberfest-time in Kitchener/Waterloo. These two cities stage the second largest Oktoberfest in the world. It takes place on the properties of the German clubs in Kitchener.
We've been to the Concordia club, which had a large tent right next to the club house. Of course, they had beer (only Canadian beer...urgs), steaks and sauerkraut,...
some fake Bavarians,...
a dancefloor with music from the "Black Forest Band", including "siggesaggesiggesagge hoihoihoi" and "oans, zwoa, gsuffa",...
and some people going crazy. Almost like the real Oktoberfest... And you could even order your food or drinks in German at most booths!
